THE ABBEY COMMUNITY, CABOOLTURE

The Abbey Community. A Spiritual Community, Queensland

A community of people dedicated to inner reflection, personal growth, and spreading love, peace, and light in the world.

A Welcoming Spiritual Community, Caboolture

We are a spiritual community, Queensland based, dedicated to inner reflection and personal growth, and spreading love, peace and light in the world. We see our Community as a lighthouse, with a vision of providing an ethical philosophy of living and offering spiritual support to people on their life’s journey.

“We see our Community as a lighthouse, with a vision of providing an ethical philosophy of living and offering spiritual support to people on their life’s journey.”

Our goal is to inspire people to live authentically, to grow in their personal relationship with God, and to daily serve and help others with respect and acceptance.

As an inclusive spiritual community, Queensland residents and people from anywhere who seek meaning are welcome to share in our life.

The Abbey Community Principles

The Abbey Community members aspire to be:

Spiritually ethical in all things

Inclusive, welcoming and accepting

Respectful of the values of all peoples, their differences, cultures and faiths

Accountable and responsible for what we say and do

Kind, supportive and compassionate towards others

Environmentally sustainable and caring for all nature

Living to the highest of our capabilities, upholding our truth and striving for the betterment of all human beings

These principles are the foundations on which our Community is based.

A Place for Spiritual Growth

As a centre of light, the Abbey Community seeks to bring about a spiritual transformation, an awakening in the world. It endeavours to do this through several avenues: the Abbey Church, our Multi-Faith Centre, St Michael’s College primary school and Early Learning Centre, the Abbey Museum and the Abbey Farm. While the College and the Museum are independently managed, the Community is intrinsically part of their governance, ensuring their vision, mission and goals align with that of the Community.

“The transformation of humankind begins with the individual and we are each on a journey towards spiritual enlightenment.”

As Abbey Community members we recognise that our life experiences give us opportunities to grow spiritually and use our God-given talents for the betterment of all. We believe that the transformation of humankind begins with the individual and that we are each on a journey towards spiritual enlightenment. While pain, suffering and emotions may spur us to change, it is through living consciously and increasing our self-awareness that we can embrace our authenticity and Divine inheritance.

Get Involved

“Each person’s spiritual journey is unique. Wherever you are on your path, you are welcome here.”

The Abbey Community offers workshops, group discussions and day retreats for those who are seeking a greater self-awareness and wellbeing.

For those seeking places to belong, Queensland has few communities as open as ours.
